Always risky to do this, but consider this your list of Adam and Timothy’s recommendations. You will find good food somewhere on this page for sure. If you don’t like ANY of them, you likely have no soul. Or perhaps just no taste buds! But let us know if you think we need to try something else. We are open to exploring and happy to admit when we were wrong. Timothy was born and raised in Omaha and still has family there.

Plan your visits in any month other than July and August, when it can be a bit hot and humid. December through April is awesome.

Casa Corona is a privately owned, open-air Mexican villa (Old Town)

Right in front of that beach, located in the heart of Amapas.

Within walking distance of restaurants, bars, shopping the Gay Village and the iconic Los Muertos beach. Larger units in the building.

Centro Condo

Traditional Open Air Style Apartment with Terrace (Centro)

La Fina Cocina De Barrio:
Amazing traditional Mexican, just outside the romantic zone. Must have a reservation, always packed. Opens at 7 pm. 


Il Pesce Cocina de Mar: excellent Italian/ Mediterranean  seafood.

Cafe San Angel: breakfast/burgers/mexican


Sendo Omakase Sushi! Amazing 14-18 course


El Dorado -great view sit at the bar. Overpriced but worth the people and sunset watching.  

Food and drink

There are many things to do in Puerto Vallarta, Mexico, including water activities, exploring the city, and shopping:


Water activities: Enjoy the warm water and marine life by swimming with dolphins and sea lions, snorkeling, scuba diving, sailing, jet skiing, or kite surfing

Explore the city: Visit the Malecon, a lively promenade with shops, restaurants, and sculptures. You can also stroll through the cobblestone streets of the Romantic Zone, which is known for its nightlife and art galleries.

Shopping: Visit local flea markets and boutiques, and try your bargaining skills.

Whale watching: See humpback whales in their natural habitat in Banderas Bay during whale watching season, which runs from early December through March.

Los Arcos Marine Park: See the iconic natural rock formation rising from the sea.

Los Arcos amphitheater: Enjoy open-air performances and artistic expressions.

Nearby towns: Visit San Sebastian del Oeste, El Tuito, Mascota, and Talpa de Allende.
